10 FUN FACTS ABOUT NAPOLEON BONAPARTE! 

1.- He was a really short dude but had a hell of an attitude! 

2.- He was a loner in military school, since kids made fun of him for his Italian background. 

3.- He died at the age of 51, due to stomach cancer according to an autopsy report but some believe he was poisoned with arsenic. 

4.- Napoleon's favorite horse was Marengo.

5.- There's no particular inscription on his tomb but there is one inscription above the door that opens on the room where the tomb is located. The inscription reads, "Je désire que mes cendres reposent sur les bords de la Seine, au milieu de ce peuple français que j'ai tant aimé." English translation: "I wish that my ashes rest on the edges of the Seine, in the medium of these French people that I liked so much." 

6.- He suffered from hemorrhoids.

7.- Napoleon was also a writer; he wrote a romantic novella entitled Clisson et Eugenie. The story was about a soldier and his lover, in a clear parallel to his own relationship with Desiree.

8.- The night he married Josephine, her dog bit him on the leg.

9.- He would sometimes hurl his watch or throw his hat on the floor and step on it to show he was angry. 

10.- Josephine, his wife, was beautiful but her mouth is always shut so as not to reveal her healitosis or "bad breath"
